Fried Rocky Mountain Oysters (Moose Balls)

Prep Time:10-15min. – Cook Time:7min. – Total Time:20min. – Serves:4+

Ingredients

  • 2 sets of Moose Testicles (4 individual testicles)
  • 4 tbsp flour (seasoned)
  • 2 tbsp Camp Chef Southern Blend Spice Mix (or any other pre-made chicken spice)
  • ½ Cup Milk (or cream)
  • High Temp Oil (Grape Seed or Vegetable)
  • S&P
  • Dipping Sauce: 4tbsp mayo (miracle whip), 4 tsp ketchup, 2 tsp yellow mustard, fresh pepper.

 

Directions

  1. Carefully remove testicles from their pouches so they are left intact.
  2. Slice into medallions.
  3. Season testicles with S&P.
  4. Mix dipping sauce ingredients and set aside.
  5. Mix flour and spice mix.
  6. Dip testicles into a bowl of milk, then dredge in flour and shake off the excess.
  7. Fry in oil over medium high heat, just 3-4min each side, or until golden brown.
  8. Place cooked oysters on sheet pan with rack and season with salt while they are still hot.
  9. Serve with the dipping sauce.
