Yamaha – Our Partner in the Wild

When you spend as much time in the bush as we do, you learn real quick what you can count on—and what you can’t. Out here, there’s no room for breakdowns or second guesses. The terrain doesn’t wait for you, and the weather sure doesn’t care if your machine isn’t up for the job. That’s why, for us, Yamaha isn’t just a sponsor—it’s a partner we trust, season after season.

We’ve been riding Yamaha ATVs and side-by-sides for years now. We’ve had them in deep snow, in knee-high mud, crossing rivers, climbing steep ridges, and crawling through thick boreal bush. From the Kodiak and Grizzly lines to the Viking and Wolverine, and now the RMAX, these machines have carried our gear, hauled out game, and gotten us home when the trail disappeared and all we had was instinct and a full tank of trust.

We’ve had mornings when the frost was thick and the temperature hadn’t touched zero, and those Yamaha’s fired up without hesitation. We’ve had hunts where we’ve been hours off-grid, pushing through miles of swamp or navigating narrow backcountry trails—and they’ve never let us down. When you’re filming and hunting in some of the toughest terrain in the country, that kind of reliability becomes more than convenient. It becomes essential.

But it’s not just the machines. What makes this partnership special is that Yamaha shares our values. They believe in preserving wild spaces, in encouraging ethical hunting, and in respecting the land we’re lucky enough to travel. They understand the importance of family, tradition, and hard-earned adventure—values that have been at the heart of Canada in the Rough since day one.

We’ve always said we won’t put anything on this show that we wouldn’t use ourselves. That’s why Yamaha is here. Because when the camera isn’t rolling, and we’re just out there in the quiet with a tag in our pocket and a long trail ahead of us—we’re still riding Yamaha.

So when you see those tire tracks in the snow or hear the hum of a machine rolling into camp on one of our episodes, you’re seeing the real thing. That’s Yamaha earning its place, every step of the way.

Scroll down to see what these machines look like in the wild—because we don’t just talk about Yamaha… we rely on it.
