- Scrub the tongue thoroughly with water and a scrub brush.
- Boil tongue for 3hrs in a large pot with Water, Beef Stock, Salt, Quartered Onions, Quartered Lemons, and a couple Garlic Cloves, lid on. The tongue should become fork tender when done.
- Let tongue cool a bit, then peel the outer skin off.
- Slice into ½ slices and place into the fridge to completely cool.
- When ready to cook, set your bbq to med-high heat, oil grill and grill slices with bbq sauce until some nice charring develops. This meat is often best cooked more medium-well vs medium-rare.
